Wine tours from Marseille

Taste the wines of Provence on a wine tour from Marseille, with a local guide and a minivan for 1 to 8 guests. Choose a half-day tour with two estates, or a private full day with tastings at three estates and a lunch stop in a hilltop village.

Half-day wine tour (4 hours)

The half-day tour lasts 4 hours, in the morning or the afternoon. You choose a region (Côtes de Provence, Coteaux d’Aix, or Cassis and Bandol), visit two estates and taste in the cellar, with time left for the rest of your day. See the half-day wine tour.

Full-day wine tour (7 hours)

The full-day tour lasts 7 hours. You choose between Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes de Provence, Coteaux d’Aix, Cassis and Bandol, or Les Baux-de-Provence, taste at three estates and stop in a hilltop village for lunch. Depending on the location, an optional one-hour boat ride in the rocky inlets of the National Park can take the place of one stop. See the full-day wine tour.

Regions and wines you can taste

  • Châteauneuf-du-Pape: red and white wines from five communes of the Vaucluse, on the left bank of the Rhône, in vineyards covered with rolled pebbles. Grenache noir leads.
  • Côtes de Provence: mostly rosé, with red and white, grown mainly in the Var between the coast and the Maures and Esterel massifs.
  • Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence: mostly rosé, with red and white, from 49 communes between the Durance valley, the Mediterranean and the Sainte-Victoire mountain.
  • Cassis: mostly white, from marsanne and clairette, grown on terraces around the town of Cassis. The appellation is named after the town, not the berry or the liqueur.
  • Bandol: rosé and red, with a little white, and mourvèdre as the leading grape of the reds.
  • Les Baux-de-Provence: red, rosé and white wines from the Alpilles, around the village of Les Baux-de-Provence.

Half-day tours cover Côtes de Provence, Coteaux d’Aix, Cassis and Bandol. Full-day tours add Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Les Baux-de-Provence. Reds, whites and rosés are available, depending on the region.
