A day on the water from Marseille

Spend a day at sea with a 7-hour boat tour from Marseille, for 1 to 8 guests. You sail around the Frioul Islands, then along the coast of the Calanques National Park to a calm cove, where you can swim and snorkel. A mini wine tasting with tapas is part of the tour, and you sail back to the port of Marseille at the end of the day.

Frioul Islands and Château d’If

The Frioul Islands lie just off Marseille. They include If Island, home to the Château d’If, the prison that inspired Alexandre Dumas’s novel The Count of Monte Cristo. During the cruise, you can choose to discover historic islands like the Château d’If, to admire the coastal scenery or simply to relax on deck.

Swimming and snorkeling in the Calanques

The route follows the coastline of Marseille and the limestone cliffs of the Calanques National Park, past caves and turquoise water. The boat drops anchor in a sheltered cove for a swim, and snorkeling gear is provided on board. The exact route depends on the wind, the sea conditions and your wishes on the day.

The day step by step

  • Boat ride around the Frioul Islands: 3 hours
  • Swimming and snorkeling in a cove, with a tapas course (lunch is optional and not included): 2 hours
  • Sailing back along the coast to the port of Marseille: 2 hours

What is included

The price covers the boat, the mini wine tasting with tapas, insurance, taxes and boat fuel. Extra drinks and an optional lunch are not included.
