Boat at Sea – 8 hours
Imagine a day where you’ll spend a joyous morning boating on the Mediterranean Sea!
Provence Amazing Tours will meet you at your hotel or cruise ship and drive you to the Old Port of Marseille where you’ll board a motor boat especially designed for discovering the islands off the coast of Marseille.
Once aboard, the skipper will welcome you with hot and cold beverages and a small oenology course focusing on Provencal wines will take place during the wine and tapas tasting.
The Frioul Islands
We’ll approach the Frioul Islands which includes If Island, just in front of Marseille. If Island is the home of the Château If, the prison which inspired the classic novel, The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas.
The Island of Château If is especially known for the novel by Alexandre Dumas, published in 1844, The Count of Monte Cristo, a great success translated into several languages and read all over the world.
Swimming in the Calanques
We’ll leave the islands off the coast of Marseille and go to one of our favorite swimming places. Sunbathing, discovering the islands and the Calanques National Park along with the calanques of Cassis will make your vacation day unforgettable.
This unique tour between land and sea will let you experience the cultural, warm and festive spirit of Marseille!
Provence Amazing Tours heartfelt goal is for you to get a close look and to really plunge into our “Marseille Mediterranean”: the maritime history of Marseille, the different capes along the coast, the fauna and flora etc.
We’ll drop anchor in a calm cove and you’ll be served with a mini wine tasting course with Provencal wines and typical tapas from the south of France.
You may swim, if you like, in a very safe area and snorkeling gear will be provided aboard the boat.
We can also reserve a table in a seaside restaurant. Just let us know in advance.
Provence Amazing Tours will then take you to discover the Calanques National Park. We’ll tell you about the secrets of this magical, protected region of rocky inlets.
In one day you’ll learn many things about Marseille; mythic city forever reaching to the sea, to the vineyards, to the fauna and flora of the hillsides of Provence, to the calanques of Cassis, all with the pleasure of the sun and the sea.
